THE CHALLENGE OF CHAGRES

(Duration: 11 hours)
The Chagres River is in Chagres National Park and its course is relatively unknown due to lack of access to the area. Exits to 5:30 a.m. and used a 4x4 vehicle to reach the small village of San Cristobal, beyond Cerro Azul, in area of the Chagres National Park. Then, walk for 2 hours in a trail until they reach the point where they are thrown out the pond on a beach of the river. This issue needs to be in good condition because there is 2 hours of walking and rowing on the river is very scenic and because the side of the river protects a primary rain forest. Here you will see tropical wildlife including several species of monkeys, sloths, and hopefully some other mammals that come to the brink of the river for drinking water. Note too many birds such as Anhinga, Cormorants, Martin Pescador, Jacana and other species that inhabit the area. As the forest is still virgin, sedimentation is very low. This gives participants the opportunity to enjoy and swim in crystalline waters. This river is classified Class II, in other words flat and slow, however, find some qualified white water rapids of Class III rapids. Bequeath to Lake Alajuela and we will move overland to Panama City around 8:00 pm

Note: You are required to bring waterproof equipment. Do not bring jewelry, credit cards, money or securities. Children over the age of 12 can participate accompanied by an adult ... We recommend bringing extra set of clothes lightly packed in a plastic bag, as the clothes they were wearing was totally mojara. Suggested shorts, bathing dress, shirt, canvas shoes or comfortable walking shoes, hat, water shoes or sandals and towel. Do not forget your sunscreen and insect repellent.
