Tour Description
The train is a replica of the state jail train used in the last century. The departure station (Estación del Fin del Mundo) is located 5 miles from Ushuaia, on the Rio Pipo valley. In order to get to this station, transfers must be arranged in Ushuaia. The train goes across Cañadón del Toro and stops for 15 minutes at "Cascada de la Macarena" station, where visitors can see information on the Yámanas, natives who first lived in this area. A nearby observation point offers a magnificent perspective of the Río Pipo valley and "La Macarena" cascade on the Martial range.
The train ride includes a bilingual guide (Spanish-English) who explains the characteristics of the area.
Finally the train arrives to Estación del Parque. In there visitors can make their way back on the train or continue on their own to the Tierra del Fuego National Park. For this last option, transportation must be arranged in advance
